During this exclusive trip, you will be enchanted by the charms of the Loire valley, its majestic castles of the Renaissance and its delicious wines.
Your day will begin in the morning with hotel pickup in Paris by your private guide.
Then, you will drive to the Loire Valley in about two hours. Meanwhile, you can relax and enjoy fresh, tasty croissants.
Upon arrival, your guide will share key insights about the region’s rich history.
For added comfort, you will enjoy a private tour of Chambord Castle with a local guide. Exclusive areas usually closed to the public will be opened especially for you.
You will learn about the Renaissance and King François Ier of France. He was the legendary ruler who commissioned the castle five hundred years ago.
Next, you will enjoy a scenic drive along the banks of the Loire River.
Along the way, you will admire other iconic castles of the region.
These include Amboise Castle, Leonardo da Vinci’s final residence, and the Castle of Blois.
Enjoy a French lunch at the most famous restaurants in the region: a Michelin * restaurant. The chef’s creative 5 course menu is prepared with local products and will be paired to delicious boutique wines of the region.
Following your gourmet lunch, your guide will take you in the heart of the vineyard of the famous appellations Vouvray and Montlouis-sur-Loire. If the weather allows it you will stop for him to give you precious information about growing grapes of Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon blanc.
Following this, you will head to one of the most famous local producers who will guide you through the troglodyte cellars and pour some of its best cuvées of sparkling, dry and sweet wines (depending on availability).
Your guide will then drive you back at your hotel in the early evening.
