If you have been dreaming of sipping Champagne straight from the sources while connecting with real winemakers, this is the tour for you. My WineDays invites you to experience a truly authentic day trip from Paris to the heart of Champagne region in small group of 8 guests maximum.
Get away from the crowds and dive deep into the traditions of family-run Champagne estate. Enjoy exclusive visits, tasting in the middle of the vineyards, and a gourmet lunch paired with Champagne. Your expert wine guide will take care of everything, all you have to do is enjoy the bubbles.
Our Authentic Champagne Tour is all about real connections and unique discoveries. You will be welcomed into the world of small producers who have been making Champagne for generations, far from the commercial routes and tourist crowds.
Throughout the day, you will taste Champagnes you won’t find anywhere else, and see first-hand the passion, craft, and history behind each bottle.
Your day begins with pick-up at your hotel or apartment in Paris. While we drive to the Champagne region (about 1h30), we will treat you to fresh, flaky croissants to start the day the French way.
Upon arrival, you will visit your first family-owned Champagne house. Take a guided tour of the production facilities, learn about their unique approach to winemaking, and taste several cuvées in an intimate setting.
Then, head into the heart of the vineyards for a truly special moment: a “wild tasting” outdoors. With a glass in hand, your guide will explain the terroir, grape varieties, and the secrets that make Champagne so unique — all while enjoying the peaceful landscape.
For lunch, you will enjoy a gourmet 3-course meal either at the winemaker’s own table or in a traditional local restaurant, depending on availability. Each course will be paired with a different Champagne (at least 3), and when possible you’ll end the meal with a typical Ratafia — a sweet regional specialty.
This moment of sharing is a highlight of the day, offering insights into the local cuisine and culture in a relaxed, authentic setting.
In the afternoon, visit a second boutique Champagne producer. This estate will offer a different perspective — whether through traditional, artisanal techniques or modern, innovative approaches.
Here, you will discover how Champagne can vary from one house to another, even within the same region. You will taste more cuvées and gain a new appreciation for the craft and complexity behind every bottle.
By the end of the tour, you will feel like a true Champagne insider.
Return to Paris in the late afternoon, with drop-off at Hôtel de Ville, around 6:00 PM (depending on traffic).
