    This awesome Champagne private wine day tour from Paris will make you fall in love with the delicacy of the most prestigious sparkling drink! Our wine lover team has planned the perfect day for you, from the big, world famous Champagne house to a more intimate winery. From the knowledge of your private expert guide, to the tastings of 8 different champagnes.

    It’s the perfect way to understand that very special combination of soil, climate and tradition needed to produce the world’s most famous sparkling wine, symbol of luxury and special moments for centuries.

     

    Morning – Meet the beautiful Champagne!

    Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Paris in the morning and will offer you tasty buttery croissants while driving you to Champagne (approximately 1h30).

    As you arrive and discover the beauty of the vineyards and the charming villages of the region, your guide will provide you with everything you need to know about Champagne, from an introduction to the production process to the history of the region. As soon as you arrive in the vineyards, you will be struck by the beauty of the landscape.

    The day starts by visiting the cellars of one of the big Champagne producers, such as Moët & Chandon, Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot, Lanson, Mumm, Mercier… (depending on availability). The champagne house guide will share with you every secrets, including the production and history, while walking you through those amazing cellars. Then comes one of the best parts of the visit: the tasting of their flagship cuvée, commented by their sommelier. If you have any preference for one of the houses listed previously, please inform us, and we will allocate for you this house, upon availability.

    Depending on our schedule, you will be driven to the picturesque village of Hautvillers, you will visit the church where Dom Pérignon worked as a cellarmaster, and will learn more about this mythical character.

    Before lunch, if weather allows it, you will experience a “wild tasting” animated by your private wine expert guide, amidst the vineyard. Through this very unique experience and the tasting of a special cuvee, you will learn all the secrets of the famous bubbly drink.

     

    Lunch –Heartwarming lunch & bubbles!

    It is now time to enjoy a well-deserved break at a familial winery or in a traditional restaurant for an exquisite local lunch paired with Champagnes. We guarantee fresh local cuisine to delight your taste buds!

     

    Afternoon – Become a sparkling crack!

    You can’t spend a day in a wine region without spending some time in the vines! There, your guide will give you plenty of information on vine growing and tell you what is so special about Champagne, and what the vine growers are currently working on… It will also be the perfect moment to take great pictures from the beautiful spot your guide has chosen for you.

    To ensure you have a perfect day, we have planned a last visit, at a winery where you will be able to see all the machines used to create Champagne…and to taste several more bubbles. With this last stop, we guarantee that you will be able to talk about it like a professional!

    Following this very complete and beautiful day, your guide will drive you safely back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

    We loved our Champagne tour. Pick up at the hotel was on time. The van was very clean. Our driver was very nice and knowledgeable. We loved the champagne houses, and lunch (which was customized for my tastes) was delicious. Ironically, I preferred the smaller champagne house to the large, well-known one. I ended up having a case shipped to my home (which I should receive shortly).

    Olga was amazing! She picked us up on time at our hotel, had hot fresh croissants for us. She was very educated about the champagne process. She stopped so we could get some great photos, she had champagne for us at one of the photo stops. We went to three different champagne house (small, medium, large) all were wonderful. We had lunch at one of the champagne houses and the food was wonderful! We were stuffed, they had cheese, fruits, quiche, breads, meats,desserts and as we walked in the door they were giving us champagne. We had champagne samples at all of the champagne house. I feel that it was money well spent and I would recommend.

    We visited France in November 2023 and used My Winedays to book our Champagne tour. There were seven of us ladies and we could not have had a better day. It is such a beautiful place and our tour guide made the experience very special! He was very knowledgeable and so so kind. We would absolutely use him and winedays again. We visited Le Gallais house in the morning, a co-op they recommended for lunch, and Veuve Clicquot for the afternoon. If you book through them ask for Aurélien to be your guide he was so great!
