Private tour in Loire
A dream day in the Loire Valley with Wine Passport! From the discovery of the Chambord or Chenonceau castle, to the picturesque views on the castles & the vineyards, the visit of at least one wine producer, the authentic french lunch , the transportation… Your private English speaking guide is also a wine expert and will make sure you enjoy your time in the Loire Valley, with your party only.
Want a well-spent day? What if you visited the Loire valley in a private tour? You will visit one of Europe’s most renowned castles, part of the Unesco world heritage, and get plenty of information about the diversity of the wines of the region.
In the morning, your guide will pick up your party at your hotel and drive you for about 2 hours heading south of Paris, towards the Loire valley, after having offered you fresh croissants.
As you enter the park of the Château de Chambord, your guide will tell you everything you should know about the history of the region.
An audioguided tour of the huge castle will reveal all the anecdotes about this impressive piece of architecture built more than 500 years ago by Francis 1st, King of France.
Upon personal preference and request, we can also take you to the amazing Chenonceau Castle, instead-off Chambord! Just ask for it when booking.
You will then enjoy a smooth drive following the river, during which you will see other wonderful castles such as Amboise (home of Leonardo da Vinci) or Blois, home of the kings of France during the Renaissance.
Lunch will take place in a winery or a restaurant, and will be perfectly paired with food made with fresh local products. Take this opportunity to ask everything you always wondered on wine or french culture, to your guide.
Following the well deserved break, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the vineyards of Montlouis-Sur-Loire and Vouvray, home to world famous white wines. Depending on the weather, you will stop in the guide’s favourite spots, among the vines of Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc where he will share with you all the secrets of vine growing!
He will then take you to an estate producing world famous wines where you will visit their troglodyte cellars, harboring millions of bottles… And of course, you will finish the tour by tasting a wide variety of wines, from red wines to dry; sweet and even sparkling white wines.
Your guide will then safely drive you back to your hotel, in the early evening.
Great day trip to the Chateau de Chambord and then a winery in Loire Valley. Our guide Bastien has given us a very interesting tour about the wine in the area!
Willy was an amazing guide! He took us to Chateaux Chambord which was a beautiful castle. We explored on our own for an hour with helpful audio We were a bit early for lunch so Willy made a surprise stop on the Loire River so we could enjoy the view and taste a bit of champagne. We had lunch at a quaint restaurant where I had the best meal of my life! We continued on to a winery where we toured the cellar & tasted 8 wines. From there we enjoyed a nice ride home. I would do this again!

Great Mix of Sightseeing and Wine Tasting
A neat little trip through the French countryside took us to the Chateau du Chambord and a cozy lunch spot prior to finishing off the day at Plou and Fils, a 500 year old family vineyard. Everything was lovely and well organized – the only draw back was that Chateau du Chambord was under significant construction so the outside was obscured by scaffolds. The interior, however, is so neat and the tour that they have organized with the tablets is amazing.
