Transportation

What about the weather?

We run our tours under all weather conditions, as long as the roads are open! While we can stay warm & dry during most of the tour, make sure to bring a rain jacket or an umbrella if it rains and warm clothes to visit the cellars.

How should I dress?

It is usually quite cold in the cellars (45°F all year long) so don’t forget to bring warm clothes! We also recommend you to wear comfortable shoes and to bring sunglasses and an umbrella according to the weather.

What is the best season to visit Champagne? Loire Valley? Normandy?

Each season has its own beauty and appeal! Don’t miss the chance to observe the evolution of the vineyards.
Vineyards are alive and, depending on the season, they do not dress the same.
– During winter, the vineyards are in dormancy. Colors change, leaves fall, sap goes down to the roots: it’s time for the vine to take some rest till next spring.
– Spring calls the end of winter and finally all the winter work paid off. As soon as the first rays of sun appear, we can observe the sap rising again up to the vine’s branch.
– Spot of green appears here and there: the first buds came out! Summer is here! You can observe the flowering, the growth of the berries until it becomes juicy grapes.
– Autumn is the harvest season. Vineyards turns to yellow and red, offering a unique palette of colors. It is time to collect the grapes and make some tasting wine.
