This all-inclusive tour will make you fall in love with the beauty of Loire Valley, from the remarkable architecture of its castles inheritated from the Renaissance, to the diversity of its wines.
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning, and drive you (approx. 2h) towards Loire Valley, while you enjoy delicious freshly baked croissants. As you get nearer to Chambord castle, your guide will give you plenty of information about the history of the region.
Start the day with an audio guided tour of the castle which, will divulge all secrets behind this monumental building, constructed 500 years ago by the king Francis 1st of France…
Your guide will then drive you along the river, where you will be able to catch a glimpse on other beautiful Châteaux such as the castle of Amboise (Leonardo da Vinci’s last home) and the castle of Blois.
For lunch, the owner of a boutique winery will welcome you to his table to enjoy delightful local food paired with its wines. He will be happy to show you his cellars and vines! (or at a local restaurant if not available)
After lunch, discover beautiful views of the colorful landscapes of Vouvray and Montlouis-sur-Loire. If the weather permits it, your wine expert guide will stop you in the vineyards of Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc grapes to give you a vine growing introduction! You will then visit one of the most emblematic producers of the region and discover their troglodyte caves, where they age their precious bottles. And of course, you will taste their whole range of wines: sparkling white wines, dry and sweet white wines, red and rosé wines.
You’ll be dropped off in central Paris (Hôtel de Ville) in the early evening.
What a wonderful way to get out of the city for a day! It was absolutely beautiful and I loved meeting new people and lunch with the winemaker in the cave was a highlight for me. I would book this again or their other tour to champagne in a heartbeat.
Chloe was excellent, well-paced tour with a good mix of her perspective along with the champagne houses. Definitely had plenty of opportunity for tasting, highly recommend. Hotel pickup given the time you would have to get up to get to the train station in Paris is nice too
Super informative and comprehensive. Of course some of it depends on who else ends up in your small group, but we did well in that regard. Our guide Alex is a legitimate wine expert, it made for a great time.
Great tour felt it was well worth the money. The tour and company and knowledge was great. We had lunch at one of the wineries and it was top notch. Great experience I would recommend to anyone who wants something special and memorable!
Awesome day tour. Beautiful country side. Loved just being able to look out the window and watch the French countryside go by. Wine and food were wonderful.
